I am very happy to say they looked great and not a day older than when we met for dinner in 2007.... Even better to see how well John is looking as better health returns....
Of course I was also happy to be reminded of those days when I was known as the Scouse Mouse..... Honestly funny..... So Barbs claim to fame? The day Maggie [Thatcher] paid a visit to our workplace... She [Mags that is, not Barb] arrived by helicopter and the freshly laid, freshly painted grass lawn blew away but as was her way, off she set on her tour. And Barb's role? To carry Maggie's gloves of course!
It was a relief to finally meet at least one couple who agreed with my opinion of the UKIP! I was starting to doubt myself so it really was something of a relief!
I enjoyed hearing of Barb and John's travels and the trip on The Orient Express sounds like a highlight I will be checking out for future travels!
Great to see you both! Really enjoyed the evening and as always, it was like we had been having dinner weekly, not six years since the last one!
