As expected Liverpool was an experience..... We headed over on the train with Jack, Chris and Adrian, meeting up with Thomas at The Museum of Liverpool. We did a quick tour of the museum first

.... pausing as Thomas taught the locals how to operate heavy machinery, then on to
Albert Dock a popular tourist spot these days, with a great view of the
Royal Liver Building, supporting the very famous
Liver Birds as they watch over the people of Liverpool.
The Liver Birds was also the title of a popular and very funny TV sitcom in the 70's, also set in Liverpool.
We were also reminded why it's not a good idea to follow Uni students suggestions for lunch and a decent pint! And how "just over there" equates to the equivalent of a half marathon!

Can't believe how grown up they all are.... Last time here they were teenagers and this time they were all grown up! Thomas is a designer for computer games and Adrian studying for his Physics Ph.D at
CERN of all places! Both look great on the resume! Other nephews include two aspiring thespians and although we saw Darren and Karl on Tuesday we won't have chance to catch up with the remaining two this time around... Maybe next time.....

And so back to the train and a farewell to Chris and Thomas..... Great to see them but until next time, Au revoir!!

Oh before we say farewell to Chris... Here is one last moment of childhood memories.... As little people, Chris and K used to go tadpoling at the nearby Figure 8... Much lemonade would be consumed until the inevitable happened and Chris knew it was no good.... So she would call out to big brother K... "Its happened again... I've peed in me wellies" and like all good big brothers, what else could he do but empty them out for her! Before she squelched home in her wet wellies.... Now that is what I call a devoted big brother! What more could a girl want?
For us, it was back to Tarvin and drinks with our hosts, Jo and Peter at the cottage!
